The Battle of Culloden is the pilot song to my new Celtic series inspired by Diana Gabaldon's book and the Outlander T.V. series. The battle of Culloden, April 16, 1746 pretty much concluded the end of Scotlands ability to wage a major conflict and try and take back the throne on the Great Isle Nation we now know as Great Britain.
Thinking about what these men went through at this conflict was one of the greatest inspirations as well as the depiction of the battle scenes in the T.V. series Outlander that ignighted the idea to write this song.
